Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Biophi?

Biophi is a curated marketplace that brings Copenhagen’s best second‑hand furniture from vintage stores together in one place, so you can browse and reserve pieces online instead of going from store to store. We offer the same prices as in the physical shops, and many items include free local delivery.

2. How does Biophi work?

You browse second‑hand furniture from multiple Copenhagen stores on Biophi, reserve the pieces you like, and then complete the purchase directly with the store when you pick up or arrange delivery. You always have a chance to inspect the item in person first, and if you decide not to go ahead, your reservation can be easily cancelled and refunded from your account.

3. Where do the items come from?

All items on Biophi come from independent vintage and second‑hand stores in and around Copenhagen that we carefully select for quality. We only list professional sellers, so items are described and priced transparently.

4. How often do you add new arrivals?

New items are added several times per week as our partner stores upload their latest finds. Check back often or follow us on Instagram for first looks.

5. Can I see the furniture in person before buying?

Yes. Our goal is to let you “browse” what’s inside a store before you visit and reserve a piece so it’s waiting for you. The reservation deposit simply tells the shop to hold the item for you. After reserving, you receive the store address and contact details by email, then you visit the shop, inspect the piece, and complete payment directly with the store owner.

6. Do you offer delivery or is it pick‑up only?

See shipping policy.

7. What condition are the items in?

All pieces on Biophi are carefully selected to be in very good, usable condition. Any visible wear, patina, or repairs are clearly described and photographed on the product page, so you know what to expect before you reserve.

8. Can I return or exchange an item?

See return policy.

9. Do you ship outside Denmark?

Biophi is designed to support a local circular economy, so second‑hand items are generally meant to be bought and used in Denmark. Most pieces are available for pickup or delivery in and around Copenhagen only; if a store offers shipping outside Denmark, it will be clearly mentioned on the product page.
