Hi, I'm Priya — founder of Biophi.

I spent years working in cleantech, thinking about sustainability at a systems level. Then I moved to Copenhagen and needed to furnish a home. This city is full of good second-hand furniture but finding it was surprisingly hard. The quality unique pieces were in vinatge stores I didn't have time to visit. And the online marketplaces were flooded with IKEA and Jysk — and I am not a big fan of fast furniture.

I still got quite a bunch of things from IKEA. Not because I wanted to — but because it was the quickest option.

Furniture is one of the highest-footprint things we ever buy for our homes. And with all the deforestation, it also has a high ecological impact. But the good thing is it lasts — which means we only need to make the right choice once. One good decision, and it stays good for years.

I bought a lot of new furniture because I didn’t know where to look in my limited time. So Biophi exists to fix that and to make buying second-hand as easy as buying new.

We work with vintage stores across the city so you can browse online, reserve what you want, and pick it up directly from the store — at the same price you'd pay walking in. No hunting. No surprises. Just good things.

A thousand people living 10% more sustainably makes a bigger impact than a hundred people living perfectly. Biophi is here to make the sustainable choice the obvious one — every time you need something for your home.
