Hi, I'm Priya — founder of Biophi.

Biophi is a curated marketplace for second-hand and upcycled home goods from local Copenhagen stores.

When I moved to Copenhagen, I needed to furnish a home fast. The city is full of good second-hand furniture — but finding it was surprisingly hard. The quality pieces were in small stores I didn't have time to visit. And the online marketplaces were flooded with IKEA and Jysk, combined with the pain of transporting them from other people’s homes.

So I bought new from IKEA. Not because I wanted to — but because it was the easiest option.

I spent years working in cleantech. I knew furniture was one of the highest-footprint things you'll ever buy for your home. But it lasts — which means you only need to make the right choice once. One good decision, and it stays good for years. I just couldn't find a good way to make that decision easily.

So I built one.

Biophi works with vintage stores across Copenhagen so you can browse online, reserve what you want, and pick it up directly from the store — at the same price you'd pay walking in. No hunting. No surprises. Many stores are also happy to deliver for free!

A thousand people living 10% more sustainably makes a bigger impact than a hundred people living perfectly. Biophi is here to make the sustainable choice the obvious one.
